Q |
When I rent a car, do I need insurance?
|
|
A |
If you have enough
insurance on your own car ( both collision and
comprehensive), then that should suffice the need. In
some cases, if you are not covered under collision and
comprehensive coverage, you might be in trouble when you
rent a car. In some cases if you have an auto insurance
on you personal car then that would be sufficient. If
you do not have auto insurance, you have the provision
of buying it at the rental car counter. But before you
go in for it, it's always better to check the details
relating to the same from your insurance company and
your credit card provider as to coverage for rental
cars. There are many coverages for rental cars like –
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Liability insurance,
Personal accident insurance, Personal effects coverage,
etc. And, before you go in for any kind of policy, it's
better to check with rental car company also about its
policies and procedures regarding the various policies.
Evaluate the options and choose the best that suits you. |
