When a person is unable to
perform his own occupation, disability insurance pays.
Depending on the cause of disability, whether it is due
to sickness or accident, the benefit is paid. The longer
the benefit period, the higher will be the premium. In
insurance terms, there are two definitions for
disability – one is a condition wherein an individual is
unable to perform his occupation which he was able to do
before his sickness/accident. The second is disability
to perform any function for which he/she is suited with
education and experience. |
